Love the flax seed gel. Great hold for clumping. Wish the packaging was different. Hard to use in shower and not get water in it.
Love this gel!! ❤ Works really well with my waves - provides definition and a pretty, soft hold 🤩 It's also excellent for refresh days!
My hair: Thick, very fine and very dry 3A-3C, with a porous top layer and crown and fairly healthy sides and back. (My scalp is dry, too.)
After reading the reviews, I was prepared for hair heaven when I received my order (which also included the cleanser and Hair Cream). Imagine how disappointed I was when the combination of the three products left my curls feeling only slightly less fried than they were before I washed them.
The game changer was using the cream as a leave-in, rather than as a rinse-out! I raked the cream into wet hair, twirled each individual curl around my lightly gel-coated fingers in order to re-form them, and gently blotted my hair with paper towels.
Then I diffused it for about 10 minutes and left it alone while I was at the Sunday matinee of a play. I was too self conscious to touch my hair when I was in a room full of other people! (All duly masked, of course, because delta variant.)
By the time the actors were taking their final bows, my hair was 75-80% dry and it looked great. That was three days ago, and my curls still look pretty good, albeit with some frizz because of this week's high humidity.
Anyone who's been underwhelmed by the performance of My Soigne's flaxseed gel is urged to try it over the Hair Cream as a leave-in. I'm glad I did!
PS I was almost out of the Hair Cream and put it in my hair just to use it up. My plan was to place another orde, of the Protein Cream, to see whether that worked better. I'm glad I waited,: The Protein Cream plus the Flaxseed Gel probably would have been too much for my protein-sensitive hair. But the combination of the Hair Cream and the Flaxseed Gel was just right, as Baby Bear would say!
Love how natural this is, the smell, how it feels in my hair but isn’t quite enough to hold my fine curly and gets frizzy after a day. Thinking maybe it needs to be paired with the cream to work:( wish I’d known so i wouldn’t have to pay the shipping for the cream. Glad to support a small Bmore business.
